Alan Cuthbertson

I was born in Wyndham and have had a passion for farming from a very young age.  During primary school my family moved to Ashburton. With this passion in mind, starting sheep farming at a junior level quickly progressed into farm management, not to mention a move back to Southland where it had all started.  With the arrival of our children we moved back to Ashburton to be closer to family. After working as a stock manager in Ashburton, and watching the changing face of the Canterbury planes move from Sheep to Dairy, a new focus was on the horizon.  At this point I took up a position with a local Ashburton Accountant that was focused on farm accounting.  After gaining experience in accounting I accepted a position as a Business Manager in Hamilton where we have spent the last two years.  Now with the move to Canterbury, my wife Joan and two children Henry and Ariel are enjoying the country life at Fernside.  I am very much looking forward to being part of the Brown Glassford team.

In my spare time I enjoy camping, playing tennis, relaxing and watching most sports.
